Reid Huefner is an intellectual property and technology lawyer with more than two decades of experience. He began his career at a major global law firm known for its strength in both general practice and IP, where he spent about a decade and served as a partner for four of those years. In 2016, he departed Big Law to team up with three former partners to establish and expand a high-quality boutique intellectual property firm.
His work spans litigation, transactions, and advisory matters across the full spectrum of IP law. He has represented clients in numerous forums, including federal and state trial and appellate courts, the USITC, the USPTO and PTAB, and U.S. Customs. He also supports clients in business and commercial matters involving intellectual property, such as software licensing, research and development collaborations, joint ventures, outsourcing, mergers and acquisitions, and bankruptcy proceedings. His practice reflects extensive experience advising clients on protecting and enforcing patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks in both contentious and transactional settings.
